Despite having one of the best offences in the league, the Indiana Fever's poor defence cost them dearly in the 2026 WNBA playoffs.
After all, the Fever were sent home following a 2-1 first-round defeat at the hands of the Las Vegas Aces. This has prompted many to urge the Fever to make some changes to the roster if they want to succeed with Caitlin Clark as the face of the franchise.
Following the Fever's disappointing performance in the playoffs, sports analyst Robin Lundberg dropped a scathing rant where he asked the team to make three prominent changes in the offseason.
"After seeing the teams that made it to the WNBA finals, I'm even more sure: no more run-it-back c___ for the Indiana Fever.
"Things need to change, and it needs to be centered around Caitlin Clark. She should be setting the tone," Lundberg said.
He added, "The Fever, with their current personnel and structure, I don't know if they can get there defensively. If it's me, I'm probably making changes at GM, changes at coach and overhauling everything."
Apart from improving defence, firing White, and changing the GM, Lundberg wants to see a change in the mentality of the Fever next season.
In simple terms, he wants Clark's teammates to embrace the fact that they are sharing the court with the 3x WNBA All-Star rather than allowing the experience to distract them.
